'Afternoon Advice'
On April 28, 2006, Patricia was
invited to be a guest on Playboy Radio’s Afternoon Advice. Hosted
by Playboy TV celebrity, Tiffany Granath, the show offers advice
to call-in listeners every afternoon from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00
p.m. PST on Sirius satellite radio. The show attracts a wide
range of listeners of all gender, age and sexual preference
and benefits from the uncensored format of satellite radio.
As a “sex and relationship
expert”, Patricia chatted with Tiffany and the callers,
offering comments and answering questions about a variety of
topics. She spoke about using the mind-body connection to experience
a better sexual relationship and how being self-confident is
sexy. To entertain the lunchtime listeners, Patricia read a couple
of titillating stories from her book, Erotica-101™.
Artwalk
The charming little city of Ventura, California hosted its spring Artwalk on
Saturday, April 29, 2006. Artwalk is a city-wide
celebration of the arts that takes place at a number of venues.
The restaurants and stores open their doors to the artists to
display their work and invite the public to browse the exhibits.
Among the artists exhibiting was Patricia Lynn Belkowitz. Erotic
line drawings were featured along with a book signing at Sharon’s
Fine & Funky on Main St. The drawings are illustrations from
her book, Erotica-101™, a
collection of 101 bedtime stories for adults.
Ventura County Reporter Book Review
During the spring of 2006, the Ventura County Reporter ran
a contest in which readers were invited to submit a story consisting
of only 101 words. When the contest was announced, Patricia called
the editors to say that she had been inspired by such a contest.
In fact she was so inspired she wrote and had published a book
of 101 stories of only 101 words, called Erotica-101™. A
reporter called back and asked for an interview. The interview
resulted in a feature article in the Arts & Culture section
of the March 16, 2006 issue.

Erotica-101™ Featured at
LA Convention Center
The 17th Annual Sensual
and Erotic Art Exhibition will display sexually-themed works from
a variety of critically-acclaimed artists as part of the Erotica
LA expo on June 22 -24, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Erotica-101™by
Patricia Lynn Belkowitz will be featured in the exhibit. The collection
of 101 stories is illustrated with simple, expressive, line drawings,
co-created by Patricia and Nancy Haberman of Oak Creek Printworks.
Several of the illustrations will be displayed. Patricia will also
be doing a series of book signings and readings during the 3-day
expo.
Patricia is a clinical hypnotherapist with a practice in Thousand
Oaks, California. She is an educator on the mind-body connection
and was a featured speaker at Erotica LA 2005 where she spoke about
how to “Activate Your Pleasure Center," the mind.
After recording Erotica-101™ for Playboy
Radio’s Sexy
Stories, Patricia appeared as a sex and relationship expert
on the Tiffany Granath Afternoon Advice show.
Nancy Haberman is the creative director of Oak
Creek Marketplace, a design and web hosting company and Oak
Creek Printworks, its printing and publishing division. She also teaches graphic
design at Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA.
Subtitled “Crossroads Between
Pornography and the Erotic Image”,
the provocative exhibit examines the frequently blurred line between
the perception of what is considered “art” and
what is deemed “pornography.” The exhibition is organized
by the XART Foundation, a public benefit organization formed for
charitable and educational purposes. Erotica
LA features shopping,
entertainment and educational workshops in the erotic genre.

Erotica-101™ on Playboy Radio
Erotica-101™ debuted
on a live radio broadcast from the Los Angeles convention center
during Erotica-LA, in June, 2005. Patricia Lynn Belkowitz introduced
her book during an interview on Playboy Radio's XM satellite radio
show. Patricia took part in a lively discussion with a few of Playboy's
personalities, including Miyoko Fujimori, a former Playboy TV talk
show host and author of “The Housewife's Guide to The Practical
Striptease”. Miyoko encouraged Patricia to read a selection
of stories, which enticed the crowd around the remote studio.
Playboy appreciated not only the content of the stories, but the
quality of Patricia's voice and presentation of her stories. As a
result of her appearance, Patricia was invited to Playboy Studios
to record Erotica-101™ for broadcast. Even though each of the
101 stories takes but a minute to read, the recording took most of
a long afternoon to complete.
The stories from Erotica-101™ are
to be part of the “Sexy
Stories” show now to be broadcast on Playboy Radio's new home,
Sirius satellite radio, beginning January, 2006.
Since Erotica-101™ leaves so much to the reader's imagination,
it is sure to be a hit in the audio format!
